Weekend Baking: Hummingbird Cake


The Oprah Show is winding down and I'm a little distraught and kind of in denial. Only four shows left!

She has been on as long as I've been alive. It feels kind of like when F*R*I*E*N*D*S ended. It feels like the end of an era.

I have to say, though, it has been fun seeing Oprah-hair through the ages : )

Apparently, it's the most requested desserts at Art Smith's restaurant so I thought I'd try it out.

The only changes I made were reducing the sugar in the cream cheese icing by half and swapping walnuts in for the pecans.
