I must warn you now, I'll be posting a chocolate recipe next week as well and I'm not sorry.
I know, I know, it's the season for all things citrus and berry so maybe, next NEXT week, I'll do something more summer-y.
For now, though, Chocolate Babka is what's happening.
When I saw this recipe on smitten kitchen, (a blog I've been deeply in love with for quite some time now) the clouds parted and I heard angels singing.
Because this is like a chocolate croissant on steroids. If you love bread and chocolate and butter, this is the recipe for you.
It does require a bit of elbow grease, though, I'm not going to lie.
But, think of it this way, all that chopping and kneading totally offsets the ill effects of any subsequent overindulging because believe me, you're going to want to take a knife to these puppies as soon as they come out of the oven.
