Black, White & Green

Let me tell you a little bit about my fabulous friends Ivone, a.k.a. Ivonichka, and Bonnae, a.k.a. Bon Bon, of Sugar Penguin Cakery in gorgeous Vancouver, B.C.

It all began at a Nine West store some years ago. You see, at the time, I figured, why not work in a place where you can ease the guilt of a severe shoe-addiction via sweeeeeeeet staff discount?

That logic was how I found myself at the single most hilarious job interview. Ever

You see, Bon Bon is a big FRIENDS fans and so am I : )

We laughed- a lot. And a short while later, the lovely Ivone (also a fan) came waltzing into the store and our lives. The rest, as they say, is history.

These ladies are a constant inspiration and the reason I started this blog in the first place.

Even now, with all the distance between us, I think there's some sort of freaky connection thingie going on

Sincerely.

When I'm making roses, *poof* Ivone puts up pictures of a beautiful Mother's Day cake with roses on top. When someone decides on a cherry blossom cake, *poof* up go some gorgeous cherry blossom adorned cupcakes onto their FB Page : )

This time, we've done tandem Black & White themed projects. This cake was a present from Yasmin to her parents who were celebrating their wedding anniversary
