At around this time, exactly a year ago today, I was getting ready to set up my very first wedding : )
It was also my first "real gig", if you will, because up until that point, I was just getting started and I had only gotten the chance to do a few little cakes and pies.
Nevertheless, the lovely Karen (Happy 1st Anniversary!) put her trust in me and I wasn't about to let her down.
Happily, everything went well and since then, I've had the pleasure of baking up all sorts of treats and goodies for Karen, her family, her colleagues, pretty much anyone she knew, it seems, who needed cake - it has been amazing and I can't thank her enough!
This latest little project together was for her friend Sharon's Bachelorette and Wedding cakes.
First, we've got this super fun Pink Bra Cake - a great alternative for those of us who might not necessarily want to be faced with a generously-proportioned "gentleman's sausage" cake (also, the message is really sweet.)
And then we have this 3 tiered Quilted (Chocolate+Vanilla+Carrot) Cake with Ivory lace - simple and so elegant : )
