How far in advance should I place my order?
- There's not such thing as "too early to place an order." I'm only able accept a certain number of cakes per week so, if there's a specific date you have in mind, do let me know as soon as possible. For a Simple Cake or Cupcakes, 2 or 3 days notice will usually  suffice. For Custom Cakes and Cupcakes, it's 5 to 7 days at least. This is, of course, all subject to availability.

How do I place my order?
- If you can contact me by email - bluebaydesserts@gmail.com - with the details of your requirement, together, we can begin a plan of attack : ) Also, an order is only considered final once you receive a confirmation email.

What details should I include in my email?
- To get a clear idea of what you are looking for and to quote you accurately, I would need to know how many people you are planning to serve, what flavour(s) you would like and what type of design you are thinking about. If you have a specific colour palette in mind or perhaps some pictures, those would be super helpful. Also, the date and time of your event - very important as well : )

How do I know what size of cake to order? Is there a minimum order for goodies?
-  Yes, the minimum order for cupcakes is one dozen. The minimum order for cakes in 1kg which usually comes in an 8 inch round and makes about 8 to 10 portions.

What if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?
- Do let me know if this is the case, especially when it comes to allergies, and I will do my very best to acommodate your needs.

What do I need to know about pricing and Custom Cakes/Cupcakes?
- On the Menu page, you will find some basic pricing in red. The price of Custom Cakes and Cupcakes varies depending on scale and design and I would be happy to provide quotes for those individually.

Where are you located? Do you deliver?
- At the moment, I bake all my treats and goodies to order in a little "Cake Studio" in Yaletown. Since I work by myself, I can only manage deliveries for weddings and bigger events where some setting up is required. The charge for this runs between CAD. 50 to 90.

How do I travel with and store my goodies?
- I try to construct and pack each cake as well as I can but, it's still just cake so please, please drive carefully.

As for storage, please keep all goodies in a cool, dry place (except for Cheesecake which must be kept in the refrigerator at all times.) Cakes and Cupcakes taste best at room temperature so, if you are going to serve them on the same day, they will be fine somewhere nice and cool, away from sunny windows. Any leftovers should be kept in the fridge (just let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving so the icing has time to soften up a bit : ) Cookies and Brownies are best stored and served at room temperature. Leftovers can be stored in air tight containers for up to a week or you can freeze them for up to a month, if you like. Just let them thaw out completely before eating them : )

Who takes your pictures?
- I do : ) I kidnap my brother's Nikon D7000 for this and it does all the work for me ; ) Aside from the camera, it's all very low-tech - just a white backdrop and sunlight.
